Master of Global Affairs

Join the next generation of global leaders and agents of change.

This 2-year professional degree will prepare you for skilled, effective leadership and careers in government, nongovernmental and civil society organizations, and the private sector.

The Master of Global Affairs integrates rigorous professional training, close engagement with policymakers, multi-disciplinary faculty and students from around the world, and extended fieldwork alongside partners — in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Washington, DC — working to address global challenges.

Governance and Policy

Prepare to influence and implement change at the highest levels of power. Learn about institutional design, organizational behavior, macro-level policy analysis and critical thinking, and the management of international and non-profit organizations.

Sustainable Development

Prepare for a high-impact career in development practice and policymaking. Your training will include strong grounding in quantitative and qualitative methods, equipping you to become a skilled problem-solver addressing critical global challenges.

International Peace Studies

Join the ranks of strategic peacebuilders working at all levels of society to build sustainable peace and justice through policy analysis and political change, government and organizational leadership, and conflict analysis and transformation.

All admitted applicants are considered for a merit-based tuition scholarship and stipend.

The Keough School Master of Global Affairs offers the flexibility to create an educational experience that suits your specific interests and career path.

Our program provides three professionally oriented concentrations: sustainable development, international peace studies, or governance and policy with opportunities to specialize. Students can explore coursework in different areas of interest, including environment and climate change, migration and refugees, conflict resolution, economic development, human rights, international law, global religion, and more.

All students also participate in career development coursework and global fieldwork that puts into practice the theories taught in the classroom.

The application deadline is December 15.
Classes begin in August 2022.
