Full Professor or assistant tenure track professor in Sociology
The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a position of
Full Professor (100%) or assistant tenure track professor (100%) in Sociology
Job description: Initiation and supervision of collective research projects with third-party funding; participation in the research and scientific activities of the Institute of Sociology, the MAPS and the FLSH; organization of scientific events; participation in national (e.g. doctoral training programs) and international scientific networks. The teaching load amounts to 7 periods of 45 minutes per week and per semester (4 for the ATTP). Supervision of PhD and Master dissertations is expected. The position is located within the Institute of Sociology.
Requirements: Candidates must hold a doctorate and have a record of high-level publications and excellent teaching skills. The language of teaching is French. Non-French speakers must be able to teach in French after a period of 2 years.
Starting date: August 1st, 2022, or upon agreement.

The application should include a letter of motivation, a detailed curriculum vitae describing the teaching and research activities, copies of the titles obtained, a list of publications, an outline of the research and teaching activities envisaged and the scientific vision that the candidate wishes to develop (3 pages maximum) as well as a list of three experts capable of evaluating the candidate’s scientific competence. Publications will be requested at a later stage.
