Term Appointment Lecturer, Biosocial Anthropology
Boise State University’s Department of Anthropology seeks a biosocial anthropologist at the level of full-time Lecturer for the academic year 2017-2018.
Thematic and geographic area of expertise is open. Previous teaching experience is required and experience and/or interest in online teaching is a benefit. Experience in lab groups incorporating undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty is preferred. Renewal of the position for 2018-2019 is dependent on meeting performance expectations and reapproval of funds. Applicants must be ABD or have a PhD in Anthropology.

The department is united by an underlying evolutionary framework, and often by a consideration of adaptation as a central theoretical theme. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The position entails 80% of workload devoted to teaching. The start date is August 2017.
Qualifications Required:
° PhD or ABD in Anthropology
° Expertise in biosocial anthropology
° Previous teaching experience with interest or experience in online teaching
Preferred:
° Experience in vertically-integrated experiential learning or labs
° Experience in online teaching
° Demonstrated interest, experience and/or ability to promote cultural competency, diversity and/or inclusive excellence
° Demonstrated professional development in teaching
