Lecturer-Cultural Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, one-year Lecturer position to begin August 1, 2017. We seek a sociocultural anthropologist who will add to and complement the existing curriculum.

Geographical focus is open, but preferred areas include Latin America and North America. The teaching load is 3/3.  The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology, History of Anthropological Theory, and four upper-division electives that focus on the candidate’s geographical and topical interests. At least one of the elective courses should be focused on a particular geographical area. A Ph.D. in hand by the start of the position is required and previous teaching experience is preferred.
