Assistant Professor Tenure Track Position

University of California, Irvine.  The Department of Chicano/Latino Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning July 1, 2014.  We will be pleased to review applications from scholars with training in all Social Sciences, and related disciplines.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach lower-division as well as upper-division and graduate courses in his/her field of specialization and contribute to the overall research and pedagogical goals of the Department
of Chicano/Latino Studies.

The Department has identified several research areas of particular interest and invites applications from scholars who can contribute to any of these departmental goals.  We encourage applications from scholars of:

–       the migration and incorporation experiences of Central American migrants to the United States;

–       community development and mobilization of Latino/a neighborhoods;

–       gender, sexuality, expressive culture, and the Latino/a experience.
