Gender Junior Experts – Prospective Managment Overseas

Gender profiles of the Eastern Partnership countries.
The study will provide a sound information background on the most relevant gender-related issues in each EaP country. This will inform future cooperation policy dialogue with partner countries, in particular with regard to gender mainstreaming in the new bilateral and regional programming documents as well as in the design of future actions.
The assignment requires field missions in each of the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

– University-degree education in Sociology / Political Science / Economics Gender Studies is required (at least Master Degree academic level);
– Academic specialisation in women’s and gender studies is required;
– Relevant professional experience (as defined below) of at least 8 years can replace the above-mentioned education requirements;

– Professional / research experience in the domain of gender mainstreaming / gender equality / women’s empowerment / equal opportunities of at least 3 years is required;
– Experience in project cycle management (PCM) / development cooperation is an asset;
– Fluent spoken and written English is required; working knowledge of the local language of the country visited during the field phase is an asset;
– Excellent communication skills and team-working attitude are required.
